Have you tried dumping the roms and looking for a name (or clues) in the
code? This has worked for me in the past.

Subject: RASTER: Unknown board...

   Hello all...

As I was going through a part of my PCB collection, I came across an
unknown board (quite dirty, and a bit damaged) that I would like to identify
and (try to) repair.

It has no writing on it other than component names/types and the
text: "EAGLE 6101-A PROGRAM JAPAN MADE IN KOREA" on the corner of the board.

The board has a 18/36 pin card-edge connector on it, 2 8-switch DIP
switch packages, and has a daughtercard that plugs into the board at a
40-pin socket connector (I think it hosts the CPU).

The daughtercard has an additional 10/20 pin card-edge connector on it as
well as another 8-switch DIP switch package, and a black plastic package
with no markings on it that looks like it could hold 2 Z-80s stacked on top
of one another. Some hacking has been done on the main PCB underneath where
the daughtercard connects (visible in the photo), as well as a few
routes/jumps made on the underside.

There is a picture of it at http://www.jrtwine.com/jtwine/unkpcb1.png
(73KB), and another picture of the board with the daughtercard centered over
it (not the normal position of the daughtercard!) at
http://www.jrtwine.com/jtwine/unkpcb2.png (76KB). The board has not been
cleaned yet, and I cannot easily remove the two large white labels (yet).
There is no visible writing on the white labels, and the stickers on the
ROMs read "G-4", "G-5", "G-6", "G-7", "G-8", "G-11", "G-12", and "G-13".

I have found a few pinouts for "Eagle" in the 'Net, but none with an
18/36 pin connector AND the daughtercard connector. Any thoughts will be
helpful...

   Peace!
