I had a similar problem with my Space Duel. It ended up being one of the
resistors in line with the DIP switches was broken in half. I changed it
and the DIP switch worked properly. The one that was bad on mine was the
one that controlled Free Play. Because Space Duel doesn't have attract
mode in Free Play, I had to set it for coins.
