on the 3 board version the player 1 & 2 inputs are linked by jumpers or a dipswitch when used with a single panel.
that way the software needs no changes because each player still has independant inputs upright or table.

follow in input for "left" until it splits and follow both paths.
it is most likely a dipswitch or buffer.
