ATTN: ALL (single player) COMPUTER SPACE Owners!

After more than a year in the making, I will FINALLY be debuting my
reproduction COMPUTER SPACE Control Panel rebuild kits!

I decided to take on this project mostly because of my own need for
these parts to complete a bunch of Computer Space projects that I have
been working on. I also read with interest, the posts on RGVAC about
the concept of reproducing Computer Space cabinets and PCB's but I
don't think anything ever came of that?

Hopefully they will be available soon on EBAY (user ID :
RETROGAMECONNECTION). The final minimum price has not yet been
determined but I'm hoping to be able to post them for under $100.00
per kit.

Since this entire project has already been funded by myself and nearly
all of the manufacturing is complete, I will not be taking pre-orders.
If you'd like to be put on a list to be notified when the 1st auction
is posted you can email me requesting that and I will let you know.

I really don't expect to make a TON of money (I'll probably lose
money) - but it sure would be nice to be able to get the 1000+ dollars
I've tied up in this project back out of it and have the parts I need
for my machines. I hope that these parts will be used by others in
the collecting community to improve the condition of their Computer
Space!

These were produced in very limited quantities (25 pieces) and a
number of them have already been promised to some local arcade shops.
The kits left over will be available for the public and at this time
that number is undetermined. The few people that I have spoken to
about this have expressed a lot of interest and there has been much
positive feedback to motivate me in finishing it. The time, effort
and costs put into sourcing vendors, investigating manufacturers,
pricing, ensuring quality and following through with this project was
huge. It ended up being a larger undertaking than I had expected.
Doing another run is probably out of the question.

Here is what the kit will contain:

1 - Reproduction aluminum control panel. Laser cut, clear anodized
and black silk screened artwork - an exact match to the original!

1 - Reproduction laser cut plexiglass with exact 4-color artwork as
the original!

1 - New custom cut light diffuser for mounting underneath the plexi -
as original!

1 - Set of 5 reproduction pushbuttons (4 translucent RED and 1 White)
- as per the originals.

1 - Set of 5 new springs for each pushbutton - exact replacements.

1 - Set of 5 new rubber grommets for each pushbutton - exact
replacements.

1 - Set of 5 new washers for each pushbutton - exact replacements.

1 - Set of 5 new #57 (14v) light bulbs - exact replacements.

I may also offer a few kits with a couple of the vacuum tubes (for the
video section) used in the original GE b&w TV.

All of the work was done by professionals and to exacting tolerances
(and all of my nit-picking) using excellent condition used original or
NOS parts. I'd like to give special thanks to the following people
for their contributions to this kit:

Alan Meyer (THE best in the Arcade/Pinball reproduction business) -
for the plastic reproductions.

Steve Shatkins (Veteran Metal Shop guy) - for the precision metal work
and silk screening.

Doug Monte - (Master Mold Maker - check out his credits in all 3 LOTR
movies) - for the molds and making all the new buttons.

Without their help, encouragement, knowledge and concern it just
wouldn't have been possible to finish this kit. I am happy to answer
any questions you may have about the kits via email or on the
rasterlist. I will also post here when the kits become available.
Thanks again for all the interest and support.

Regards,

Steve Winslow
