Forget bridging -- I forgot the volume pots are on the output side, not the
input. It was overdriving. After re-checking polarity a few more times I got
the bright idea to reconnect the volume control from the previous project --
and it sounded great.
Checking the ARII schematic, would you believe there is a 10:1 voltage
divider on the inputs ? And would you believe the sweet spot for the volume
control was -- 10:1 ?
