Well, it says at the bottom of the instructions "If you are not
familiar with monitors, do not attempt this modification" :) Which is
basically true :P I'll keep this link around though. I would like to
become more skilled at working on these things eventually. This time
around, I think I will take Peter's advise and try to find a new or
used monitor. There seems to be a lot of hate for the K4600 so it
might be best to find a monitor that people hate less :)

One thing I'm still concerned with, however. When the time comes to
pull the K4600, do I need to discharge it before I pull it? I would
assume so, but what about the other monitor? Can I discharge it out
of the cabinet and then put it in? I think the rest of the ordeal I
can handle (seems pretty straight-forward except for needing to
change out the connectors possibly, which should only be slightly
annoying I would assume), but thought I would check.

Thanks again! Hopefully one of these days I can start answering
questions on this list instead of asking them :)
