My bench power supply (the Atari Orange box) has been modified to provide:
+5VDC @ 15 amps
-5vdc @ 1 amp
+12VDC @ 1 amp
0-24VDC @ 2 amps (floating so it can be positive or negative supply)
and the two Variacs that create up to 80VAC at 2 amps. (2 X 40VAC center tapped each is floating)

I find this covers almost all the boards I ever need to test.

A computer switching supply would handle most of these other than the variables, and a Variac and transformer would handle the rest for your bench.
+-12 VDC, and a generous +24 VDC for some Gottlieb sound boards, but I
never see any mention of the proper amperage, and all the bench supplies
I have seen vary wildly in their specs.
Suggestions?
