Just to be clear… any script
generated by tech.quarterarcade.com (I am assuming this is what Tony means by “tried
to get the outrun script from fide to run”) should be looked over by the
operator and adjusted appropriately. It’s just a starting point, and it
is frequently incorrect because the virtual machines in MAME aren’t 100%
accurate. Also, the script generator isn’t smart enough to always generate
legal subroutine names… that’s what you get for free web-based
utilities J

I think this was covered before, but
based on recent postings, I’d like to re-emphasize the point …

Also, FWIW, I have never used the LEARN
function…. Because the schemas and the MAME source code tell you a lot
more than LEARN can.

(I’m glad to hear that several
people are using FIDE. It’s possible in the future if the PODs get a
software driver that I’d update the software and fix a lot of things I
wasn’t happy with….)
