I just read about this earlier today.. There are 4 chasis transistors
on the monitor that corespond to +x -x +y and -y where 0,0 is the center
of the screen. Depending on the orientation of the monitor, either the
one for the -x or -y could be the problem. The easiest way to figure out
the problem transistor is to check for continuity between the transistor
casing and the chasis. When they go bad, they sometimes (always?) short
which gives continuity. They are not supposed to. If it were me, I would
just invest in a cap kit in case other components are about to fail too.
