Did you use a 100 degree tube?

I have a complete WG 6100, but the tube has a crack in it. I can get a lot of
different 100 degree tubes, but they are all bigger (all common 19" tubes are 90
degree in Europe).
This leads me to the idea of just tossing in a bigger tube...

Maybe you could post some more details on how you did this job and what you
stumbled across in the process...
