Does it still crackle using the Deflection Board I loaned you? If not then you
know it is deflection board related and has nothing to do with the Transistors.

If it does it with both Deflection boards I would expect it is either the
transistors or some problem with the neck board.

I don't think you can isolate the HV from ground as ground is also provided
through the connector is it not?
