Reading 9316 ROMs?

Hey gang:

I've got a couple of 9316 ROMs that I need to read, and I understand
from dejanews and Mark S. that the 9316 is compatible with 2716s -
except that the chip selects are a little different, so I may not be
able to properly read them. My programmer doesn't specifically support
9316s, so an adapter must be made! :)

I really don't want to screw up these ROMs as they sit in a Vectorbeam
board. In order to read the ROMs, I'm guessing I need to build an
adapter that lifts pin 18 (chip select) and ties it to pin 24 (+5) with
a resistor (of any value?). Additionally, I need to ground pins 20 and
21 (preferably to pin 12).

Anyone who is more knowledgeable like to comment?

TIA
tom
