Changing the brightness causes the fine point in the center of the screen
to become a fine point with an amazing halo- about 2 inches in diameter.
I'll look more closely at the deflector board and provide a full
report

One of the biggest problems on the monitors is
that they develop bad solder joints on the deflection board and on the
high-voltage circuitry. I'd suggest looking for those first.
