G08 Monitor transistors

Has anyone tried using MJ15024 transistors in place of the hard to find
or expensive 2N6259 transistors for the Electrome G08 monitor? It seems
like these are well up to Spec (perhaps even better?) and you can get
them pretty cheap at www.newark.com. $3.39 for under 25. Just curious.
