I didn't suggest that you disable the sense. I think you need to replace the regulator :) Someone else suggested disabling the sense. Of course, the sense seems to do more harm than good. I've seen so many Atari boards that have had the +5 and/or +sense wires soldered directly to the board because the edge connector was burnt to a crisp. I've seen a lot of Pole Positions like this.
