Excellent, I hope it helps resolve your problem Dean.

I too hate inventing wheels, so if you can look up the symptom and
resolution rather than spend hours diagnosing it yourself, then why not?
That's called communication. :)

I know for a fact there are many people that read this group who have far,
far greater skills than I will possibly ever have and will also have fixed
a *vast* number of vector games. It shouldn't take long to write down the
symptoms and resolutions, and that can help others. The information need
not be as convoluted or long-winded as mine either, it can be broken down
very simply. To give one of problems and it's resolution as an example:

Game: Asteroids Deluxe
Board Revision (if applicable): A036471-01
Symptom: No screen display when game is powered on, monitor is fine with
other boards - but after a few minutes the screen slowly appears as a
'bitty' flickering display which becomes more solid as the game warms up
Resolution: Replace 74LS157N at location F/H10

I'm sure other failing components can cause similar symptoms, but it's a
starting point at least.

Phil
