Re: wg6100 ? HV glow but still no deflection

I put in a different HV unit and the monitor fired up. So its
definitely the HV unit. Unfortunately that HV unit just went bad after
about 10 minutes or so. I looked in the first unit and someone made a
mess of it. I guess I shouldnt have assumed it worked because of the
glowing neck. Q901,Q902, R903,904,905 are all fried. I guess im going to
get a couple kits and rebuild this on and the other one too.

I think you should take a look at the rectifying diodes on the deflection board along with the filter caps behind them on the (-) side. These are not replaced in the standard cap kit, but are in the extra parts kit.

I get -/+26vdc at pins 3 and 6 of P100 but when I check the voltage at pin 4 and 5 with everything plugged in I get -20 vdc at pin 5 and -5 vdc at pin 4. I should be getting voltages just under -/+26vdc shouldnt I? Thats what the LV2000 directions say. I replaced the power transistor that P100 comes from, so im kind of confused on whats wrong. All the transistors checked out before, unless something just went wrong with one of them. Anyone have a suggestion?
