Re: 6100 Bad HV? Success!?!

Well, the monitor is working now...

I was getting confused about heater voltages vs. B+ voltage and how to measure
them. Well I got it straightened out. I was going down the wrong path of
checking B+ from the HV (thinking this was heater voltage - wrong I know, but
it was late last night and I was frustrated). I got thrown off when I read
somewhere on RGVAC that you could check heater voltages that came from the HV,
musta been a different monitor type.

ANYWAYS, I read the correct information today that heater voltages came from
the AC source. Went through all my fuses and connectors at the bottom of the
cabinet, cleaned and reconnected the connections and voila! The monitor neck
began to glow and I got image. Well at least I got a much needed cap kit done
anyways.

Thanks to Brian Deuel, Solarfox, Chris C. for putting me down the right path,
without your help, all the info out there was almost useless and I know a lot
more about 6100 design.
