Its been a while since I looked but It looks similar to the
16 level intensity board and monitor that is found on Solar Quest.
I think that you can use one of these monitors with the other games
by just changing the jumper on the CPU board.

Subject: VECTOR:Star Castle Display board variations??

Hello,

I've got a Cinematronics display board for a Star Castle with a
"contrast control" or "level intensity" board, and the brightness pot is
mounted upside down. There is a seperate molex plug that plugs into the
"level intensity" board. The display board is missing several components
found on other Cinematronics display boards without the "level intensity"
board: - Q1 (2N5550) looks like it was clipped out, as does R7 (10k, 1w),
R8
(10k, 1W), Q3 (2n5550), and R22 (10k 1/4 w). There is also a seperate
riibbon
cable connection for the contrast board. There is no mention of the
"Contrast" board in the schematics that I have. Was the contrast board a
later addition to Star Castle machines??
Is it necessary to have this "contrast control" board? This display
board seems to have a bad Q108 (2n5320) and a bad Q104 (2n5322) caused from
a
bad deflection transistor Q110 (2n5878). I have a second display board
without a contrast control, and doesn't seem to have any transistor
problems.
Can I substitiute?
Also, is it OK to use 3716's to replace 5878's, and 3792's to replace
5876's?
I'm sorry if these questions are dumb, but this is the first time I've
worked
on a Cinematronics Vector machine since 1984....please help if you can.
Here
is the URL if you want to see a picture of the display board and "level
intesity" board.
Please excuse my digicam, it's about as good as me with Cine stuff...
