Yes -- a solid display :-)

It prevents high freqeuncy RF emissions from being sent out by the HV unit.
Normally this results in wavey lines on your display.

With all those holes, I can't see them making a major difference in cooling.
I mean, you DO have screens on your windows, right ? :-)
