O'scopes, as a replacement for an X/Y monitor, are *much* faster. A 1mhz scope
would be fine (if such a creature even exits).

To develop the ZVG I was using an HP 1332A X/Y display, which like most X/Y
displays has a Z-axis input as well.

The HP 1332A comes with or without grids, I have one of each. When the one
without grids HV section died, I picked up another on eBay. So the one pictured
on www.zektor.com has grids. What I didn't realize at the time is that the
grids are *inside* the CRT glass and can't be removed. Too bad, it's a lot
cleaner running games without the grids.

Decent X/Y displays can be had on eBay for $75 to $150.
