Asteroids GO5 help

I have ordered a cap kit...and transistors...

I am just afraid that I will ruin parts if the root problem is not taken
care of.

I had removed c900 and I got the same continuity beep with the cap
removed...testing on the traces where the cap was mounted...getting 18ohms
resistance.

I have been fooling with the EHT unit...and I am confused. When I test
across pins 7 and 8 it gives 18ohms resistance. This is so low the dmm
beeped continuity.

This is why it seems I am getting this reading...R900 is rated at 18R. I
guess this is 18ohms. I am getting a (short?) circuit from one leg of R900
and the collector on Q903. The collector is grounded. Is the collector
supposed to be grounded?

Thanks for putting up with a non-techie.

I wish I understood more of this....it would make my questions better...

Ron

Yes, your HV cage is drawing too much current and blowing F102. You could
always
start with a cap kit :)

Yes, this is correct.
