Kind of. If they were on a horizontal line, they would look like this,
except the "-" line would match up with the top of the "/" marks:
__/-/___/-/___

The ascii art is a very close representation of what it looks like. The
angles are even about right. :)

I am working on an Asteroids board with video issues. The objects on the
screen
are very distorted. When I put it into test mode, the right-to-left and
left-to-right lines look like this:

         _\ /_
         \_ _/
          _\ /_
          \_ _/
            _\ /_
            \_ _/
             _\ /_
           \_ _/
             \ /

The horizontal lines have dim area's in them as well. They look more like a
row of dots close together than a smooth line.

The Asteroids Repair Encyclopedia suggests changing the AD651J DACs. I
don't suppose I can walk into any common electronics boutique and pick these
up. Is there an available cross for these?

I also found a post that seemed similar, in which Mark Spaeth recommended
"Replace the linear switches that are after the DACs to do flipping before
changing out the AD561's." What part would that be? I have the schematics,
but can't locate what Mark is referring to.

Thank you for helping me. And thanks to Andy Welburn for the interesting
"Wood Grain Space Duel" info. I had never heard of that before. Won't be
so quick to pop off next time. :)
