I think they are modified originals. Otherwise you could go through the 2
player versions of those games, which I believe you can't.
Also, one thing I don't get is why they have paddle games on this
controller. pong, circus, breakout all suck without a paddle. They could
have put better games in the place of the paddle games and made a paddle
version of this also. Would have been really cool to somehow link two to
play two players too. Then combat would definately be on the controller:)

BTW, does asteroids in the atari 2600 the spaceships come out? Or is that a
certain gameplay mode that they come out on? I ran mine and no ships.

I've got one (was a stocking stuffer for me this past xmas). No
complaints.
The games on it seem to be very true to the originals - I'd be shocked
to find out
it's doing anything other than emulating the original roms. Adventure
for example
has all of the quirks present in the original game.

...And the vector to raster circuitry for Asteriods leaves lots to be
desired :).

I have to note that reviews are good and bad for this. (BTW you can get
it
at Target too)

They aren't really the original atari games, they are modified,
especially
to make them one player. I've heqard reports of it not being that
responsive.

Um, figure you have to connect this thing to a 6100 to play Asteroids???
