This is a VERY common problem on Amplifone deflection boards. You'll want to
replace the 10k X and Y size pots. I use mouser #32-1510-10k, I think they are
about 60 cents each.

I wanted to add this to the REVISED deflection faq, but I'm having trouble
editing the damn PDF.....
