Not sure - never really used the RS stuff
Key is to remember not to get any kind of caulking or similar stuff - you
want the silicone pure as possible
Been using it 20 years in TV and monitor repair - never had a problem.

Here is one for the old guys - who remembers what Glyptol is? :)
