It looks like they are "close". Both just try to sink the LEDs to GND to
activate them.

- Check your adapter to make sure the "8" resistance is 0. Including
  checking the pins. Put the adapter on your board and check from the
  resistor (on 8) all the way through to the wiring harness.

- Disconnect 6 (P2 sink) and see if P1 now works

- Check that the 2 current limit resistors (in series with 6 and 8) are
  the same values (with a meter and the edge connector disconnected).

(at least that's where I'd start)
