CAIG chemicals has some useful products. I've fixed many of my jamma boards with nothing more than some swabs and a bottle of Deoxit. It does not remove the black but definitely helps the connection and is also supposed to offer protection against further oxidation

Subject: VECTOR: Cleaning corroded chip pins

I am currently working on a Xevious, but have seen many boards with this problem.

You know the black corrosion on the chip pins.

It comes off by scraping but I really hate a mechanical solution if there is a better way.

So the question is does anyone have a better way?

David
