I recall that a problem similar to yours was caused by one or more bad bi-polar proms on the main board. You might try programming a new set of 4.

  Hi Guys,

I'm just trying to repair a Star Wars Main Cpu board (running ESB). AVG and Sound Boards are Tested and 100% OK.

It passed all the diagnostics.. Divider OK.. Mathbox OK.. Scaling Tests OK... BLEEPS/RAM/ROM/Checksums etc... All Fine...

During the Game, a lot of the objects are either missing / distorted / or chopped (walkers have legs but nothing else) / Tie fighters are just dots.

Now I could swear that I found a FAQ somewhere (listing missing tie fighters as a problem), but cant seem to find it now...

Any hints or assistance in locating the problem would be appreciated...

  Many thanks,
  Regards,
  Colin
