Hi,

One thing that has worked for me in the past with a bus line near short to
ground is to tie it to the power rail and see what happens...

Sometimes something gets hot. Sometimes it blows out and you're left with a
traceable fault. Sometimes it blows out and is fixed...

Regards,

Paul.

I'm working on my backup boardset and I've spent hours trying to track
down a short to ground on data line 3. Has anyone experienced this before?
If so, do you recall what part was causing it? The background is that I've
tested all the socketed parts in a known good CPU. They all work fine, but
the boardset doesn't pass the buss test using my 9010A. The sound and AVG
board work fine too. Any suggestions on how to track this down would be
appreciated.
