and dont forget that atari have a habit of using crap chipsockets.
one day i might try to replace on of those damned earoms with magnetic-ram.
unfortunatly there still pretty expensive in europe.
another option might be to use an i2c serial-eeprom, but that would need the code changed - something i dont want to do.
