Its possible... The mathbox passed the diagnostics...Not getting any H or L errors (did have these at one point). I could try one of the other mathboxes and see if they run or I can repair one I guess.

It's most noticable on the Text for the high scores and the text at the top right, I'm not sure if the mathbox will be responsible for doing this, as there are no 3d calculations involved. The mathbox is not used for doing text in the diagnostic mode though so you may have a point.

As I say, the picture is perfect when in diagnostic mode, but shaky in game mode :-)

My therory is that its the dac08 or reference circuity. Also the vector timer has been suggested. It does seem to me to be analogue related, but I've replaced the 82's and 84's.

The file registers/stack have been replaced with new parts along with some others. If I find any problems with it , I'll post back with my solution.

Any other ideas ?

Thanks, Regards, Colin

if the grid is o.k. then it may be the 3d IE the mathbox area.
otherwise, i remember something similar with asteroids that was a problem with the vector-stack.
the grid is simple, not may points - the game used a lot more stack space and showed the problem.
