    You may know of Midwest-Analog. I watched them for several years, and even
    referenced their book dedicated to applications of the 566 in our listings.
    They used to sell their 566's for $6 each but when they ran out a couple of
    years ago, they never got anymore. That undoubtedly killed sales of their
    book and all their products using the part. I figure if they could have
    bought them at $6 for resale at cost, they would have done it just to
    sustain sales of their 566 based products.

    Once they're gone, they're gone.
