A good source for these are the Omega Race daughter (sound) boards, there's two on each and usually in good shape (no corrosion).

This is vector related, as the Vectrex troubleshooting chart points to this to fix the bad sound. Does anyone know of a source or have any AY-3-8912 sound amp IC's that I can buy or scrounge? A few years ago John Robertson thought he had a source, but it never seemed to materialize. As far as I know, there is no cross or modern substitution (without getting crazy). Any help appreciated.
