Joel... No.. It just replaces part of the low voltage regulation circuitry which is renowned for failing. I've got one fitted to mine and it works fine.
Pinx... While were here... I'd love to get one of Clay's Monitor Display Correctors, but it looks like he stopped making these a while ago.
