Re: G08_105 deflection board?

Interesting question, Joe. A quick look and me thinks it's possible.

High voltage unit; Appears to be almost identical. They moved the HV
regulator onboard from the daughter board and simplified the 100v
circuit with a TL783. (doesn't mean you'd have to) Some minor changes in
cap and resistor values.

Neck board; Appears identical also.

Tube and yoke; Well, the tube is the same as Amplifone and 6400 but the
yoke is not. Use an Amp tube and splice in the tube socket if it's
different. I would try to use an Amplifone yoke.

Deflection board; Here's the rub.
The good: Power and low voltage side is identical. Same 45-0-45
transformer. Signal input and error correction through the custom IC is
a matter of some resistor and cap value changes.
The bad: Deflection amp circuit has been re-engineered. Taking into
consideration the "paddle boards", it's not a totally different circuit.
I believe it to be different enough to make a hack very difficult.
Consider an add on daughter board to replace that part of the circuit
and incorporate the revisions that Electrohome made. The main deflection
transistors are SDT1064.

Did I miss anything? I have a pile of G08's for donors should you wish
to try it out.
