Mine is a 1000+ model if I can be of any help, Dont know how I'll read the eprom in though, lol.
   
  Yes they have been taken over, but they still have a suport email (I think) - Have you tried emailing them ? support@icetech.com
   
  When they were still micromaster, they got a bit snotty when I asked if they could add an old prom to the device library of the 1000+ which they said was obsolete. (Well, add it to one of your NEW programmers then - I'm pretty sure most of the programmers shared the library). I'm not spending £800 to buy a new programmer to do one prom !!
