I'm not so sure about that. The "low voltage" high voltage transformers are
a different beast from what HR's bread and butter is based on. They may not have
the tooling to fab the materials and designs, of a 1970's transformer.

The G05 runs around 25KHz, whereas most monitors for the time period ran
around 15KHz, which makes it unlikely there will be an off-the-shelf
replacement available.

When I talked to them about doing an Amplifone replacement, they weren't
really excited with the volume in question.

I'm toying with this idea now, but the failure rate on those parts is rather
low, so that means the production volume will be low. To try and get the volume
up, I'd like to see the design work in _both_ versions of the G05.
Unfortunately, in order to do that, it has to operate from about 25V to 40V,
which is fairly wide.

BTW, which version of the G05 have people seen the most failures in?
(or would want to buy a spare for?)
