In my FAQ, I recommend the MJ15024 transistors (200-250V) over the original
MJ15003 is ~140V. Overvoltage is what typically kills these transistors.

BTW, while looking around, I found this article about some Sega Vector Mods
(nicely done). It has one of the cleanest power supply replacement "hacks"
for Sega games I have seen (I'd like to see arcadeshop add a power supply
replacement kit like that one).
