For the cheap ones, you calibrate them by opening your wallet and
remembering why good tools cost what they cost! :) LOL

I've had a few meters over the years, and had and loved those radio shack
clamshell meters that fold into a nice hard case that banged around in my
toolbox for a good while (a good while was 20 years!)

Bought a cheapie to replace it and the leads were crap - the plating came
off the tips and affected the readings, sometimes dramatically.

Replaced that with a Fluke - LOVE that meter, had it for a couple years now
and it's a keeper!
