zvg settings and issues

Finally decided to get my zvg going and looking for some help from others who have it running.

I have it set up running into a Gravitar cab with an amplifone setup.

A few questions and issues:

- what should the resolution be set at for an amp setup? I have it at 320x240

- what should zvgtweak settings be for an amplifone? I have it at stock, but games like tempest, eliminator for example have very bright and blurry objects in the center when they are at their smallest. Games like Zektor have bright ends to the lines around the border midway up and side to side where vector ends touch. I'm fairly sure something is too bright but not sure which setting to tone it down with. Most text has bright dots at the end of each vector.. it didn't seem like anything in zvgtweak calmed those endpoint dots down..

-In games with scores along the top, or words, like Zektor, the left side of each number/word extends up about a quarter inch in a single line.. just on the top row right below edge of monitor if something is up there in a game. For instance, in Zektor each of the zeros in the score along the top have the left edge of the zero extending about a quarter inch past the top of the zero.

- certain games the vectors slightly corrupt fairly consistently.. for instance, in the Zektor attract, when the 'R' gets written a huge mass of vectors flicker towards the center of the screen. In Cosmic Chasm, half the red center of the base as you fly towards it is extended and flickering in lower center of screen.. some of the stars in tac/scan and star wars are stretched into horizontal lines and flicker.. By the name in the lower right of the intro screen to the VM menu there is a curvy line to the left of the name (I think its a name offhand..) I had some issues with linearity originally because the jumper pins were so bent but I got them straightened out and the jumpers functioning... but things like the R in zektor are consistent..and the tall numbers at the top of screen..

- How does the command line in vm.bat work for the soundcard portion? Not sure how I am supposed to get that running.. I can only run games chosing the 'zero' choice (no sound) or else I will get a divide by zero error and crash before the game starts and kick to dos prompt. I have the 'setblaster' line in autoexec. In vm.bat there is a long string of numbers after the soundcard portion.. not sure what to do there.. when the sound does get running, can you make it default to that or do you always need to hit the choice key for the soundcard when you chose the game?

I think thats it for the issues off the top of my head..

- can someone email me their config.sys, autoexec.bat, and vm.bat files? livnfree_can@yahoo.com .. I know it won't be exactly the same for me but its been a while since I worked in dos and its slowly coming back to me and I would like some other examples to tweak mine.

If anyone has a zvg or setup for sale I am thinking of making a vertical orientated one as well so drop me a line if you do.
