Re: Re: Chip order from Ram controls

Add me to the list. I won on ebay two large auctions of POKEY chips.
I quickly paid, never received them, one excuse after another how UPS
lost the package(s) AND there was no tracking numbers. Yeah right.
In the end a few of us that won ebay auctions at that time from him
got together. We were all getting similar excuses. I guess UPS lost
a huge number of packages across several days and lost the track numbers
too. Yeah right. Seems like a bunch of people didnt get there stuff
that time. In my case after several months I ended up getting a refund,
probably because the group of us that banded together put some pressure on
him and it was through Ebay. I would have rather had the POKEY chips
that I won. Your mileage may vary.

If you could send him a specific list of what we want/need as I will certainly fuck it up, that would be cool. You may have already done this, I don't know.

Volcano is very active so be sure to call first before coming over on Sunday. I shall try to e-mail you if I get back home on Saturday night.

Give me some $$ and I'll put together a load of parts for you that you won't be displeased with. :-) I work on Atari boards more than anything, so my component cache is very Atari-friendly. Whatever you get, I'll make sure to throw together a pile that's over-the-top for you.

I am awaiting payment on some parts and then should be able to send you some cash for chips. I am needing anything to fix a bunch of Star Wars and other Atari game boards. I'm good on pokeys but need all the other stuff. What do you have left and what price are you asking? No rush on this stuff. Just trying to finish up a deal we started about a month ago.

I also recall another conversation about Tempest PROMs? I recall "126"... I was looking for my stash of PROMs and I found them on Friday when I dug through the most recent pallet of parts, but I could not remember what you wanted exactly. Remind me and I'll sort through them now that I have the parts out in the open.

> Worst case, if I don't have those PROMs (which I think I have a TON of them ready to go - I used to do repairs on the order of $4000/weekend back in the day, so I'm fully stocked!), I can program some fresh ones for you. I'm sure I have blank PROMs ready to go somewhere in my stash....and I have a good idea where those boxes are, too. I just saw them on Friday, in fact.

I gave him a decent list of crosses for the type of PROM he was asking about, too. Did he and I have any trouble with communication? I recall that conversation specifically, because I was excited to help you and Kevin out. It's not often I get to do something for YOU, so I'm eager to help. :-)

I get these parts for MUCH cheaper than anyone else in our group can, so I stock up, sell them off, stock up again, sell them off... It's a cycle for me. I don't make anything on it, but I'm able to supply the group with parts and earn some brownie points while I'm at it - maybe people will remember how cool I am when they're about to go into witch-hunt mode. LOL

I like having the right parts at the right time. Just work with Kevin and when you get the order filled that will be fine. Don't let this little order detract from your big sales.
