Mentions specifiically it works for Sega vectors...

Subject: VECTOR: Sega G08 coin details

I know Sega Star Trek has a freeplay rom hack available; however, at this
moment, VectorLabs isn't supplying freeplay roms with their devices. I
haven't spent enough time with the multi-vector boardset to determine how
easy/hard it would be to convert to Freeplay.

I'll be taking my Star Trek Captain's Chair to Texas Pinball Festival this
year; so I'll need a free play method.

Right now I'm considering doing a 555timer circuit to "credit up" when the
start button is pressed.

Does anyone have any details on the coin detection circuit in the G08
designs?
I looked at the schematic and it appears there is a SR latch made out of
NAND gates which feeds another latch which drives XINT to the cpu.

I was wondering if anyone had some details on how long the "coin in" pulse
is so I can simulate it with a 555timer.

I can measure it myself; but am out of town at the moment. Sitting bored in
the hotel room which could be used for design rather than tv watching.
