Administrivia: Don't reply to verification notes

All: I had to turn off the list for a few hours to stop what looked like an
auto-reply storm.

Please please please, make sure you turn off any spam verification systems
for mail from the list. Also, do not reply to any such mail for the list, as
it will go to everyone, not just the sender.

As an aside, this is an example as to why I advise against the use of these
types of anti-spam methods. Spam is almost always sent from a forged
address. When some poor guy is forged into a run of thousands of messages,
he receives thousands of these "Please verify your address" messages.

It's like cleaning your yard by blowing your leaves into your neighbor's
yard: Sure, it solves your problem, but only by making it someone else's.
