<P><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial">Take the old parts off before you wash with the vinegar (and one type of vinegar is better than another, but I can't remember which). Wash liberally, and I used a soft toothbrush to scrub a bit.</FONT></P>

<P><FONT COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial">Depending how spread it is, it may be worth replacing every chip touched - otherwise you could be looking for faults for an eternity - I did. Everything was fine but in the end some chips just weren't performing as well as they should - and all had been touched by the battery base.</FONT></P>
