Well, if you use a very large resistance, then you need to turn the volume
control way the heck down before you will hear an audio change. (to get a
5K resistance - roughly half volume - on a 1meg pot you need to really
crank it over, while on a 10k pot this would be at the 50% turn...) 10K to
25K is the normal range of volume controls. Going much higher than this
will only decrease the adjustment range. The audio amp input impedance sets
the optimum pot. Look up the data sheets on the audio IC...
