        Not necessarily. Some games try to detect coin jams by timing the
coin-switch closing and opening; some games (particularly a number of
multiple-player-simultaneously games) assign each coin slot to a particular
player position; some games don't even _have_ a start button, as such, or
have it do double-duty as both player start and game control...
