Thanks, I'll check when I get home.

Don't the Namco PCB's have on board sound amplifiers ?

Before I start fiddling with things too much, I want to check that the voltages are ok... the were 3 pins on the power connectors on each board... I get 0v in the middle, 5v on one side and about 1v on the other ( I think this should be 12v , but would like to find the schematics to chase it).

From my limited knowledge on this, I think in addition to the rom swap, there may be some proms and an custom ic required too.. what about jumpers too ?

  Kind Regards,
  Colin

pp1 and pp2 use the same pcb, it's a romswap.
one of the ar2's is used for audio, you can fit a switcher for the power and keep one ar2 for the amp function if you want.
the only problems i'v had with them is a worn deadspot on the throttle-pot, and a fucked gearshift.
(not on the same machine)
