4264 will work on place of 4164 always. But if you are replacing a 4264
that used fast page mode, a 4164 might not work in its place. Here's a very
good explanation. For your application, the two are interchangeable:

Sorry about the previous "send too quick".

 

The manual lists the RAM on the I, Robot Video PCB in rows 11 & 12 as:

Type 4164-15 Integrated Circuit

 

However, on the actual chip from MT, they are marked 4264-15.

 

Looking for a verification if these are the same thing. Maybe 4264 was MT's
internal part number for generic 4164 RAM?

 

Anyone?
