It's not rude; however, it's incorrect.
In a past life, I repaired PCs and XTs
to the component level; they are 8088.

Plus, the only reference I saw at that URL was:

The PC's INSTRUCTIONS are 8086 compatible,
but the pins on the CPU are not.
